I Know a Guy, Pt. 5: Referrals Aren’t Luck, They’re Earned
Referrals are not luck. They are the result of three things in order: a payoff you can name in plain language, a client you actually get to that payoff, and the receipts that turn the result into trust. When those are in place, clients almost can't contain themselves. Adam's version is that transformation inspires transformation. Jess's version is simpler: people don't refer what they can't repeat, and they won't repeat what they don't trust.
"People don't refer without trust. People don't refer without receipts."Jess Webber · I Love Coaching Podcast
Ask your best client, in their own words, what you do and what result you got them. Then ask one more past client the same thing. If the two answers don't match, you've found your language gap, so fix that one sentence before you work on anything else. A referral can only repeat what a client is able to say.
A safe, trusted place for coaches to get to know each other and practice saying what they do. Details are still taking shape, and the waitlist gets you the first look.
